Labour

How time is counted: charged on a time basis, every hour started being payable in full. Time runs from arrival on site to the end of the intervention.

Night hours for the surcharge: 8 pm to 8 am. Surcharges apply only to hours actually worked within those slots.

Travel

Travel is included in the price of any work carried out within the service area — the Lunéville (54), Saint-Dié-des-Vosges (88), Gérardmer (88) triangle. Its actual value is around €30 excl. VAT; we tell you so that you know what it represents, but it is not charged to you.

Mileage outside the area is counted beyond the thirtieth kilometre, one way from the company's registered office.

Quotations and studies

An in-depth technical study is charged only if you were told before the visit, and the amount is deducted from the price of the works if the quotation is signed.

The quotation sets out the exact nature of the work, an itemised breakdown of quantities and prices for each service and product, the hourly rate applied, travel costs where applicable, and the totals excluding and including VAT together with the VAT rate used.

Applicable VAT rate

The actual rate depends on the premises and the nature of the work (article 6.4 of the terms and conditions of sale):

• 10% for maintenance, repair and improvement work in residential premises completed more than 2 years ago — the most common case for repairs at a private home;
• 5.5% for eligible energy-performance improvement work;
• 20% for commercial premises, dwellings completed less than 2 years ago, and comfort improvements.

The rate applied is stated on the quotation and on the invoice. A reduced rate is subject to the Customer providing the certificate required by the tax authorities.

What else you should know

• Supplies and spare parts are charged in addition, at the price stated on the quotation or on the itemised invoice.
• You may ask to keep any parts, components or appliances replaced; the request must be made before the intervention (order of 24 January 2017). Failing that, those parts are taken away for recycling.
• The initial telephone diagnosis is indicative and free: it is not a commitment as to the cause of the fault or the cost of the repair.
• The price includes removal of construction waste and cleaning of the work area.
• Electrotech does not hold the RGE qualification: the work carried out does not qualify for MaPrimeRénov', Energy Savings Certificates or the interest-free eco-loan. Reduced VAT rates, however, still apply.
